Overview

OUI Scotland Ltd. (hereafter referred to as OUI) was originally formed as Oceaneering and Universal Inspection in 1996 as an NDT Inspection company with Rope Access capabilities.

The company philosophy is to provide a highly competent, independent & multi-skilled Rope Access workforce to serve the needs of the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Construction and Civil Engineering industries. Our company and employees pride ourselves in building strong working relationships with our clients, customers and suppliers which allows us to provide the highest level of service and customer satisfaction.

OUI expanded in 1999 focusing on the supply of specialised Multi-Discipline Rope Access services.

Selected Works - All mobilised from Aberdeen

West Africa -

  • DROPs Surveys carried out in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon

Gran Canaria -

  • Maintenance works, painting of derrick structures and DROPs Surveys on TSF Energy and Express Deepwater drilling rigs over the course of a year-long campaign

Gulf of Mexico -

  • For several years assisted supply of real time radiography (b-scan and cathodic protection surveys) as well as installation of clockspring composite wraps on various offshore installations and onshore petrochemical plants for companies such as Chevron, Mobil and Texaco

St. Johns, Newfoundland -

  • First RA involvement in the hook-up of Hibernia Platform with supply of back-to-back multidiscipline teams that also functioned as incumbent rescue team for a 2 year period

Millennium Dome, London:

  • Installation of full Nav-aid lighting system on mast structures

Supply of Core Teams:

  • Examples - BG Armada 5 years, Lundin/Enquest Thistle 10 years, Repsol Montrose MonARB 3 years

  • Works consisted of full EX-inspections, assorted electrical works, refurbishment of deluge systems and installation of spring hangers, pipework, plating and rigging

  • Critical shutdown support with the supply of the above RA trades personnel

Caisson Removal & Re-instatement:

  • Removed and replaced Caissons for Repsol Sinopec on the Tartan, Clyde, Piper, Claymore, Montrose and Fulmar Platforms

Windfarm Works:

  • Completed assorted scopes from inspection to preparation and painting and mechanical tasks on fields such as Scroby-Sands, Rhyl, Thames Estuary and Wells-on-Sea
